Black Sea Mnemiopsis Leidyi database and plankton check list: online tools developed within the black sea scene project IBSS Repository
Slipetskyy, D.; Sergeyeva, O.; Gorbunov, V.; Vladymyrov, V.; Tezcan, D.; Myroshnychenko, V.; Gucu, A..
Several specific data and information management tools were developed within the EC Black Sea SCENE project for the Black Sea region. They are: (1) Black Sea Mnemiopsis database, (2) Black Sea Phytoplankton checklist, and (3) Black Sea Zooplankton checklist. The tools work on the Web and have simple user friendly interfaces. They will help to the Black Sea scientists to make their work with biological data more effective and productive. The tools are now being tested by the project participants and populated with the corresponding data and information.

Database of IBSS coastal expedition’s reports IBSS Repository
Skuratova, K.; Bilogurova, Yu.; Sergeeva, O.; Slipetskyy, D..
Last years IBSS NASU has been performing a large number of the coastal expeditions within the Sevastopol bay and other regions of the Crimean coastal zone. Total number of expeditions per year reached about 100 and number of stations about 500. Due to the lack of cruises on a board of big research vessels this number is rather stable and even slowly grows in time. Information on large amount of data got in these expeditions existed only as some non-structured free form documents and, as result, was very insufficient for use. To make the work with data and metadata collected during these expeditions more effective and fast, information on plans of expeditions and obtained results was structured and loaded to database. Availability of this information...

Integrated data and information management system to collect and analyze biological data for climate change research IBSS Repository
Sergeyeva, O.; Slipetskyy, D.; Gorbunov, V.; Vladymyrov, V..
The integrated data and information management system (InDIMS) has been developed at the Institute of Biology of the Southern Seas (Sevastopol, Ukraine), The system gives the possibility to have the convenient access to all types of data and information necessary for the effective scientific work including both the data collected within the institute and data form different national and international sources. The system can be used for a number of tasks including the climate change research.

The Spatial – Temporal Changeability of the Black Sea Bioluminescence Field: Mesoscale Aspect IBSS Repository
Burmistrova, N.; Tokarev, Yu.; Vasilenko, V.; Juk, V.; Slipetskyy, D..
Actuality of the present work is determined by active usage in the last decades of the bioluminescence field parameters for evaluation of plankton abundance and its functional state. The main task of the given work is to analyze great massive of the bioluminescence, temperature, salinity and plankton community parameters.
